artist's statement
I am a visual artist and I would describe my work as concept led. I have produced work in the form of film, photography, installation and public environmental work.
The catalyst for my creative process is often a response to observations in my daily life. This is demonstrated by the series of public interventions I have documented that draw attention to the antisocial nature of litter, graffiti and dog fouling.
I also produce work that celebrates everyday experience and interaction. This is evidenced in the one-minute portraits that pay homage to the independent shopkeepers of Didcot high street and Corsham.
There have been times when my work draws on more personal experience. When this is the case it is important for me to present the experience in a social and political context. The Incident is a good example of this.
