chalk Corsham
Community participation Corsham Festival, June 2013
Corsham primary schools have been alive with added fun and creative activity this week!
Chris Dunn and I worked with children from Corsham Primary, Corsham Regis and Neston School turning their playgrounds into gigantic canvases where we illustrated scenes from Charlie and the chocolate factory.
Imaginations took flight working together to design complex, interconnected sweet-making machines creating a whole new world of sugar-coated, candy-coloured delights: giant sherbet-filled snakes, sour-winged flying bonbons, lollipops on journey-long sticks, marshmallow mushrooms sprouting fizz bubbles … the list goes on!
I spent a great day getting to know more of the children and adults of Corsham who came to join in the Corsham Festival. Thank you to everyone for the funny and wacky creatures and characters you created on the peep boards.
The Festival culminated at The Pound, where the glass elevator took off from the courtyard!
