rooted in history
Photography and film
A dead oak tree stands in the grounds of Neston Park.
Passing this ancient tree every day has made me think how long it has been a part of the scenery. A silent witness to the passing of time for over 200 years.
Although now lifeless, it stands as a monument to its own past life, enduring the relentless rigours of the seasons, in the same way as it did when it was alive.
Over the coming year I intend to document this old sentinel and its defiant existence.
