A community-engagement project in Chippenham
Subject name
Peter Kiefer
Age
49
Where do you come from?
Verden, Germany.
How long have you lived in England?
Almost two and a half years.
How long have you lived in Chippenham?
Almost two and a half years.
Where do your family live?
My mother lives in Verden, my brothers all over Germany.
What is your occupation?
Financial controller.
When I have time to myself I ...
play music, read a book or play sports with my sons.
My greatest wish is ...
to live a long, healthy and happy life.
If I could change one thing about myself ...
I would be 10cm taller because it would be nice to be taller.
Something that changed my life ...
becoming a father because I had responsibility for another.
My most treasured possession ...
is a little box with a cassette recording of a song played when I was 16.
The last time I cried ...
was when my dad died because it was sad losing him.
My favourite bit of Chippenham ...
John Coles park, because I can listen to the band and play football with my sons.
Chippenham would be the perfect place to live if ...
it had a space station and an airport because then you can go anywhere.

Every day, for the duration of the exhibition at the Yelde Hall, I will post a new Hidden Presence interview. Please come back to find out about some of the people who represent the diversity of Chippenham.
Hidden Presence is a joint arts and heritage project partnered by:
Chippenham Museum
Wiltshire County Council
Pound arts centre
PLaCE, University of the West of England
These are projects and ideas that are currently in development.
These projects form the body of my work to date.
Our community is diverse and enriched by people from foreign cultures settling among us. The aim of Hidden Presence is to acknowledge the diversity of our community, and our similarities with people from all over the world.
