I'm Penney Ellis and this is my creative-practice website.

My work is concept-led with an emphasis on community and environment. Through my creative practice I strive to encourage social engagement and a sense of pride in people and place.

I have produced work in the form of photography, film and installation, and have exhibited in galleries as well as the public realm.

I recently completed an MA in documentary photography at the University of South Wales.

Plot 202 documents my family living on the rural outskirts of Johannesburg.
