Good portraits draw us in to find out about the person we are looking at, they inspire intrigue.

Photographs can reveal something about the personality and character of the person you’re looking at. Photographs of two or more people give us clues about dynamics between individuals.

Context informs us of an individual’s circumstances.

On this course we explore how to take photographs that tell stories.

By making the most of available natural light, the position of your subject and the potential for camera angles, you can take more striking and intriguing photographs of people.

This course assumes a basic understanding of the functions of your camera and is an opportunity to stretch your creativity.
