Victoria and Will Mollyn

The book I'm reading currently
Victoria
I've just finished Longbourn by Jo Baker. It tells the whole story of Pride and Prejudice but from the servant's perspective.

Will

I'm reading The Silkworm by Robert Galbraith which is the pen-name of JK Rowling. I really enjoyed the first one in the series and have just started the second. You absolutely would not know that it was her writing, a very different style.

A book that had a big impact on me
Victoria
The Water Babies, Charles Kingsley and Watership Down, Richard Adams. Both really impacted me when I was little.

My desert island reading
Victoria
I would take Georgette Heyer, one of my favourite; easy going, light hearted.

Will
I'd probably take modern histories or biographies. I read more of those generally than fiction.

My choice of lifetime magazine subscription
Victoria
Something fluffy definitely. I did buy Good Housekeeping the other day, for the Christmas recipes, I haven't bought any other magazines recently.

Will
The Economist.

My must-see film
Victoria
I only watch trashy films. Water Babies and Watership Down.

Will
It's not much fun, but I'd say Downfall. It's a film about Adolf Hitler's last days in the bunker in Berlin. It's quite harrowing but very effective film.

My guilty-pleasure telly

Will
We watch lots of rubbish telly. How about Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. It's about superheroes basically.

My radio turn-on and turn-off
Victoria
I mainly listen to CDs or iPod. I very rarely listen to the radio now.

Will
My radio turn-off would be adverts, I can't stand rubbish local radio so I tend to listen to BBC as a result. I listen to The Today Programme on my way to work.

My favourite work of art
Victoria
I really like the Guggenheim building in New York. And we went to Rome to the Doria Pamphilj Palazzo and I really liked the Caravaggio paintings.

Will
Italian Modernist sculpture by Brancusi.

The weekend paper I am most likely to pick up
Victoria
The Times for the crosswords and sudoku.

Will
I never buy a paper unless Victoria does. I get my news online.

The section of the weekend paper I read first
Victoria
The home section and puzzles. I like the Sunday paper for that because we get most of our news content online.

A piece of music that makes me smile
Victoria
I like Ho Hey by The Lumineers at the moment, partly because Ben sings along to the Ho and the Hey bit.

Will
Talk to the animals by Sammy Davis Junior, I heard it yesterday on the radio, it was very funny.

A piece of music that makes me cry
Will
Brick by Ben Folds.
